Sometimes things look like they are ok, but when testing in-game settings won't be actually applied etc. Result: C1, that is Player 2, can't open the Player 2 custom options menuĪny other combinations where the C1 is NOT the master controller of the game result in different issues. I go into multiplayer -> Local and choose any one-on-one mode- When the game asks which controller is which player, I make C2->P1 and C1->P2

On the title screen, I press any button on the controller that is in XInput Slot 2 (C2) to start the game. Now the issue: if the master controller of the game is NOT the controller that is in XInput Slot 1, input settings start to not work throughout the game. The controller that press the key here is made the "Master Controller" of the game, the controller that can move through the main menus. When Tetris Effect Connected starts, it asks the user to "press any key" to start. Though, luckily, the controller number in-game is the actual slot the controller is into. The slot the controller is into can't normally be seen by the user, but there are tools that can check them. I'll just call them C1 (Controller in slot 1), C2, C3 etc. So the first connected Controller is in Slot 1, the second in Slot 2 etc.
